Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha, Transfer to Lake Manyara, Game drive
On this 1st day of your 6 Days Tanzania Highlights Safari, you shall be picked up from the hotel or airport in Arusha by our Tanzania safari guide. He shall brief you about your 6 Days Tanzania Safari and thereafter proceed for a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. You shall arrive just in time for lunch, which you shall enjoy at the lodge, after checking in. relax a bit, and then head out for a late afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, the home of the tree climbing lions in Tanzania, as well as thousands of flamingos on Lake Manyara. Search for various wildlife species, as you tick them off your list one by one, if you kept one that is. Large concentrations of elephants in Lake Manyara National Park will amaze you. Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park, Game drives
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, head out for a transfer to Serengeti National Park through high lying farmlands of Karatu and the amazing Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Serengeti plains of Serengeti National Park, commonly known as the heart of wild Africa. The vast and endless Serengeti Plains host thousands of wild animals and birds, including the big five. At the Seronera area that has the Seronera River, countless wildlife species can be spotted. After lunch, you shall enjoy game drives here, spotting a variety of them roaming around, or being hunted down! Thereafter, you shall head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full day Serengeti Plains
On this 3rd day of your 6 Days Tanzania Highlights safari, you shall enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and thereafter head out for a full day Serengeti Plains exploration on game drives. The morning game drive will take you along the Sogore River Circuit which twists into the plains of the Seronera River from where thousands of wildlife species can be seen including among others lions, cheetahs, ostriches, topi, and elephants.
After enjoying your morning game drive, you shall proceed to the visitor center located just near the Serengeti Seronera Lodge. Here, you shall see a number of wildlife displays, as well as a gift shop that sells various information leaflets more so about the Serengeti. It is also from here that you shall have your lunch.
After enjoying lunch and some minutes of rest, you shall proceed with a game drive through the Kopjes Circuit which goes anti-clockwise around the Masai Kopjes. These kopjes provide shade and drinking water which pools up after rains, to the wildlife that gather there. The kopjes are a great hunting ground of predators especially in the dry season when the unknowing wildlife like antelopes come for a drink. After, you shall return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, Game viewing
This 4th day of your 6 Days Tanzania Safari starts with you having breakfast at the lodge, and then check out of the lodge and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, making a stopover at the Olduvai Gorge which is very rich in history. From here, you shall learn a thing or two and then proceed to the lodge arriving in time for lunch.
After lunch, you shall descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for game viewing of over 25000 wildlife species that roam the area. Buffaloes, zebras, hippos, African elephants, lions, cheetahs, elands among so many others are some of the wildlife species that you can see. At Lake Magadi, large flocks of flamingos can be seen, and a number of other water birds.

Day 5: Transfer to Tarangire National Park, Game drives
After breakfast, today, you shall transfer to Tarangire National Park, which stretches along the banks of Tarangire River. Baobab trees, acacia woodlands and huge swamps make up Tarangire National Park, all of which attract a variety of wildlife. Tarangire National Park is one of the Tanzania national parks recorded to have very large herds of elephants. Rare animal species like Asgy Starlings and Fringed-eared Oryx can be seen in Tarangire National Park. After enjoying a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, you shall have lunch in the wilderness, and then proceed with yet another game drive to see more wildlife. After, you shall drive to the lodge from where you shall have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer back to Arusha
On this last day of your 6 Days Tanzania Highlights Safari, you wake up early, go for an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park to see those animals you may have missed the previous day. Return to the lodge thereafter for a sumptuous breakfast, and then check out. Enjoy yet another game drive as you leave Tarangire National Park on a transfer back to Arusha. You shall have lunch at a selected restaurant in Arusha, and then be dropped off at your hotel of stay or at the airport for an outbound flight.
