BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi is Located in southwestern Uganda in Kanungu district near the borders of the country of a thousand hill “RWANDA” Bwindi impenetrable national park is renowned for its rich biodiversity and high population of mountain Gorillas that are over 459 of them meaning the parks is one of a few national parks that hosts mountain Gorillas in the world. It is one of a few places in Africa and World where visitors can go Gorilla Trekking allowing them to observe these majestic primates in their natural habitats. Bwindi is not just a home of mountain gorillas but also other primates like colobus monkeys, Chimpanzees and over 350 bird species making it an idea destination for birdwatchers. However, Visitors should note that trekking gorillas require permits and they are booked in advance due to their limitations.
KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
Kidepo Valley national park mostly referred as Africa’s True wilderness is located in the northeastern region of Uganda between Uganda bordering South Sudan. Kidepo is known for its rugged landscapes, expansive plains and stunning scenery not forgetting its abundant wildlife including Lions, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs and much more that makes the park the most outstanding in Africa and worldwide for the experience it offers to its visitors.
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Murchison falls national park lies in Masindi district in the northwestern region Uganda. The park is largest and oldest National park in the country, and the best park to carry on game drive. The park is named after the Murchison falls where the famous River Nile. The park is a home of different majestic primates including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, lions, giraffes and other more including the 450-bird species that makes the park a paradise of bird watchers.
KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Kibale National Park is located in the western region Unmakeable is famously known for its population of chimpanzees, Kibale is just not a home of chimpanzees but also a home to other several primates including Red colobus monkeys, Lhotse’s monkeys and more as well as different Bird species over 375 that were recorded within this park. The Park offers visitors an opportunity guided nature walks through its lush forests, and spot wildlife in the park and carry on with other activities like Hiking, climbing and more as Visitors connect to Uganda’s nature while creating everlasting memories.
MOUNT ELGON NATIONAL PARK
Mount Elgon is Located in the eastern region of Uganda at the border of Uganda and Kenya, the National park is renowned for its stunning landscapes, including the Famous falls near the national park that are named “Sipi” making them Sipi falls. Hiking and mountain climbing are the activities that can never go undone with routes ranging from easy day hikes to challenging multi day treks to the highest peak of the mountain. While in Mount Elgon you can explore and hike the might Sipi falls that offers unmatched experience of falls. Mount Elgon national Park is a home to a variety of wildlife species like Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes as well as a good number of bird species (over 300).
QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Located in western region of Uganda. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including Savannah, forests, wetlands and lakes like the famous Kazinga Chanel. The Park is a home to wide variety of wildlife including Buffalos, Hippos, African Elephants, Crocodiles, and the famous tree climbing lions. Visitors can enjoy game drives, boat safaris along the Kazinga Chanel, lake albert. Visitors and travelers can also do Chimpanzee tracking in the kyambura gorge and bird watchers can watch the magnificent and stunning birds within the park.
SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK
Semuliki National Park is located in western region Uganda in the Albertine rift Valley, Park is one of the most Uganda’s and Africa’s biodiverse forests. It gets its name from the Semuliki river which meanders through its heart. The park is a home of unique and stunning flora and fauna, including several various species. visitors and travelers can explore the Sempaya hotsprings, do birdwatching, and carry on guided nature walks to observe primates, forest elephants, and other different wildlife.
Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo is known for its picturesque landscape of stunning rolling hills, the park is located in the western part of Uganda. Its renowned for open savannah and acacia woodlands. Visitors can enjoy game drives, back horse safaris, boat safaris, culture engagement and nature walks in Lake Mburo national Park. RWENZORI MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
Located in western region of Uganda along the borders of Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, Rwenzori mountains national park is a home to the famous and bold “Mountains of the Moon “The park is known for its snow-capped peaks, glaciers and alpine meadows, as well as its flora and fauna diversity. Visitors to Rwenzori Mountains can embark on multi day treks to the summit of Mount Stanley the highest peak in Rwenzori mountain ranges passing through different vegetation zones and encountering unique wildlife on the way.
MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK
Mgahinga is Located in the south western region of Uganda in Kisoro district. Mgahinga is a home to three dormant volcanoes like mount muhabura and other 2, The park is a renowned for its attractive population of Mountain Gorillas known as the rarest primate species, Nyakagezi family is a family of mountain Gorillas inhabiting in this National Park. Tourists are able to observe these majestic giants on trekking tours.
