This 3 Days Kahuzi Biega Gorilla Trekking Safari Congo allows you to track eastern lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park. You will drive from Kigali to the Rwanda-Congo border at Rusizi where you will clear with immigrations and then cross over to Congo where you will find our Congo representative waiting for you. You will drive to Bukavu and track eastern lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega.

Day 1: Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Bukavu in Congo.
After finishing your early morning breakfast at your hotel in Kigali or arriving at Kigali airport with an early morning flight, you will be met by your driver guide, who will brief you briefly and drive Rubavu via Karongi as you proceed for lunch in Rusizi, in a local restaurant, before we proceed to Rubavu border post, where we will undergo immigration process, get DRC visa, and cross over to DR Congo through Rubavu border to your booked lodge for dinner.
Day 2: Track Lowland Gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park.
After breakfast, you will attend your first briefing at the park headquarters, where you will also register and meet your allocated ranger guides before driving to the park trekking starting site for your lowland gorilla trekking adventure. You will then depart with your ranger guide, who will provide you with a wealth of knowledge about Kahuzi Biega National Park.
After seeing the gorillas, you will have an hour to observe them and take videos and images of your choice under the supervision of your ranger guide. You will then return to your booked hotel for refreshments, have lunch, and spend the afternoon at leisure. The lodge serves dinner and provides overnight accommodations.
Day 3: Transfer Back to Kigali
Today, after breakfast, you will meet with your driver guide, share a briefing as usual, and transfer to Rwanda via the Bukavu border. You will then drive to Kigali, where you will eat lunch and have the option of visiting the Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to hear and listen to video excerpts from some of the incident’s survivors before going to Kigali International Airport to catch your onward journey.
