Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Nairobi, Transfer to Amboseli National Park
This 1st day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari has you being picked up in Nairobi, from the airport or at your hotel of stay. Our Kenya safari guide shall brief you about your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda safari. Thereafter, you shall proceed for a transfer to Amboseli National Park by road. Amboseli National Park is just at the foot of Mountain Kilimanjaro and is known to host large herds of elephants. Amboseli National Park gives great photographic scenes, especially with elephants grazing with the backdrop of the Kilimanjaro Mountains. Day 2: Full day Amboseli National Park
Today, you shall wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge and then head out for a full day Amboseli National Park exploration. You shall enjoy game drives to see a variety of wildlife and amazing scenery. Some of the wild game you should look out for include zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and so many more. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, check out and proceed for a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy watching the countryside as you drive through some very scenic views and areas. The views are particularly very scenic when approaching Lake Manyara, be sure to enjoy them. You shall reach just in time for a late lunch. You shall have the rest of the day to yourself, to relax and take in the beauty of Lake Manyara. You may opt for an optional boat safari on Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater exploration
After breakfast on this 4th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari, you shall leave Lake Manyara National Park, enjoying a game drive as you proceed to Ngorongoro crater with your packed lunch. You shall have Ngorongoro Crater exploration to encounter the abundant wild game found here. Ngorongoro Crater is often times referred to as the ‘Africa Eden’. With over 25000 wild animals found here, you shall spot a variety of wild life as well as bird species. Thereafter, ascend and proceed to your lodge of stay for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park, Game viewing
On this 5th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari, you shall have breakfast at the lodge and then proceed for a transfer to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy game viewing along the Seronera area. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 6: Full day Serengeti National Park
Today, you shall have an early breakfast at the lodge and then head out with your packed lunch for a full day Serengeti National Park experience. Depending on your time of safari, you may get to watch the famous annual wildebeest migration where over 1 million wildebeests and other wild animals like zebras cross the Mara River to Maasai Mara National Reserve. During your game drives, you shall encounter birdlife and a number of wild animals including the big five. Wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, grants gazelle, eland, hyena, golden jackals, finches, ostrich, and Kori bustard are some of the wild life and birds you may encounter among so many others. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
This 7th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari has you waking up to a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge and then proceed to check out and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve via Isebania/Sirari boarder along with your packed lunch. You shall spot wild game during your drive. You shall arrive late in the afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, with a glass of wine, good book or good music at your balcony. Day 8: Full day Maasai Mara National Reserve
Together with your packed breakfast and lunch, you shall head out of the lodge for a full day Maasai Mara National Reserve exploration. Enjoy game drives in this vast savannah plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve. Later in the evening, you shall return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Naivasha National Park, Day at Leisure
On this 9th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari, you shall check out and proceed for a transfer to Lake Naivasha National Park. Enjoy a game drive spotting a variety of wild game as you proceed to the lodge. You shall arrive just in time for lunch at the lodge. You shall spend the rest of the day at leisure. Day 10: Game drive, Transfer to Nairobi/Kampala
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Naivasha National Park spotting a variety of wildlife at the Crescent Island Conservancy. Give =n the terrain of the conservancy, walking safaris can be done and you can easily spot more wild game including giraffes, elands, wildebeests, among so many others. With over 200 bird species, be sure to spot a variety of birds during the drive. After breakfast, transfer to Nairobi from where you shall have a flight to Entebbe. You shall be picked up by our driver guide at the airport, and transferred to your hotel of stay in Kampala. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Equator Experience, Launch cruise
On this 11th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda safari, you shall have breakfast at the hotel and then proceed to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park making a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for an Equator water experience and photography. After, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy a game drive as you drive to your lodge of stay. Enjoy lunch and then head out for an afternoon launch cruise on Lake Mburo. Spot a variety of water birds and wild animals at the shores. Lake Mburo National Park has large schools of hippos and zebras, making it the best Uganda national park to spot abundant zebras in one place. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 12: Game drive, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early for an early morning game drive to spot a variety of wildlife that you may have otherwise missed the day before, including nocturnal wild game as they return from their nightly duties say jackals, among others. After breakfast at the lodge, you depart Lake Mburo National Park for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park making a lunch stopover en-route. Once at the park, check in at the lodge and rest to gain strength for your most anticipated gorilla trekking experience. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 13: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi experience
On this 13th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari, you shall have breakfast at the lodge and leave together with your packed lunch to the starting point of your gorilla trekking in Bwindi experience. You shall be briefed by park officials, and then be placed in groups of eight and allocated a gorilla family to track. Enjoy hiking the jungle in search of the giant apes all in the while looking out for other wildlife like bush pigs, birds, butterflies and various plant species which date back to ages past. Once you have encountered the gorillas, spend one hour interacting with them, taking pictures and videos. After one hour elapses, leave the gorillas and return to the starting point making a stop to enjoy your packed lunch in the wild. Your driver guide shall be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge. Rest for the rest of the evening reliving your earlier experiences. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 14: Batwa cultural trail, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Sundowner
Today, you shall have breakfast and then head out for a Batwa cultural trail during which you shall learn of the ways and past lifestyle of the Batwa pygmies, who were originally hunters and gatherers who solely depended on the forest and co-existed with the wildlife therein till they got evicted. They shall share how they did some activities like collecting honey, making fire locally, and hunting, among so many others. Thereafter, leave Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector. Enjoy a game drive through the Ishasha sector and spot the famous tree climbing lions. After, proceed to your lodge of stay, check in and spend some time relaxing. Later in the evening, enjoy yet another game drive as you drive to the Kazinga channel from where you shall have a sundowner. Return to the lodge thereafter for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 15: Primate Walk, Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Transfer to Kampala
On this 15th day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda safari, you shall have breakfast at the lodge, and then head out to Kyambura Gorge for a primate walk seeing chimpanzees. Thereafter, enjoy a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to see the abundant wildlife therein, have lunch and then proceed for a transfer to Kampala. You shall reach in the evening, check in and have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 16: Departure
On this last day of your 16 Days Kenya Tanzania and Uganda Safari, you shall wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your departure time, you may choose to have a Kampala city tour. You shall be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport from where you shall catch your outbound flight.
