Wildlife Safari Tour To Salonga National Park In Congo : For nature lovers who are looking for an exciting wildlife safari, the Salonga National Park in Congo is definitely the place to go. The park is home to a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, hippos and crocodiles. Also, the Salonga National Park is home to hundreds of different bird species. During my visit to the park, I was lucky enough to see a lion and an elephant. The lion came pretty close to our jeep, so it was quite exciting to see him up close. The elephant was quite far away, but we were able to see him with his huge ears sticking up above the grass. There were a lot of other interesting animals that we saw during our safari as well. My favorite animal was the crocodile because it was huge! Another highlight of my visit to the Salonga National Park was swimming in the Congo River with the hippos. These were such fun and friendly creatures; they would swim up to us and put their heads under our hands so we could feed them lettuce. After the Congo safari we camped by the side of the river for the night. It was an incredible experience!
The Salonga National Park is located in the southern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This is a large country in West Africa with an area of more than 2 million square kilometers. The Congo River flows through the park, and many of the animals are descended from those that were brought there by explorers in the early part of the 20th century.
The park is also where the famous writer Joseph Conrad lived for a short time in the early 1900s. Visiting the Salonga National Park is like stepping back in time, as there are still dozens of tribes living in the area. However, the tribes are under pressure from the government that is trying to force them to give up their traditional way of life in favor of a more modern way of life. Only time will tell how the people of this area will ultimately respond. In the meantime, I would definitely recommend a trip to the Salonga National Park for any nature lover!
