Wildlife Parks To Explore in Uganda in 2022: Uganda is one of the best safari locations in Africa, featuring a diverse range of animals and plants. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Mount Rwenzori National Park, Semuliki Hot Springs National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Mgahinga National Park, and Mount Elgon National Park are among the ten national parks in Uganda.
All of these national parks are popular tourist destinations that provide visitors with a variety of wildlife, adventure, and cultural experiences. This does not, however, preclude other national parks from standing out as the best and most beloved by previous visitors. Based on previous assessments, we have identified five national parks that should not be missed on a Uganda wildlife safari.

Bwindi Forest National Park is one of Uganda’s most popular national parks, mostly because it is one of the few remaining habitats for the endangered mountain gorillas. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in southern Uganda, about an 8-hour drive from Entebbe International Airport. You may, however, fly into Kigali International Airport and drive 4 hours across Uganda and Rwanda, passing the Katuna border. According to the most recent census, the world’s surviving mountain gorilla population is estimated to be 1,063 individuals.
These mountain gorillas can only be seen in Uganda’s Bwindi Forest and Mgahinga National Parks, Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Virunga National Park.
During your stay to Bwindi, you may walk the mountain gorillas into the wild, escorted by a qualified and educated ranger guide, to experience these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Spend an hour watching mountain gorillas go about their daily activities from a 7-meter distance while taking selfies and non-flash photos. You will also note the mountain gorilla’s resemblance to humans, since the two animals share up to 98 percent of their DNA.
You may supplement your mountain gorilla safari with a cultural tour of the park’s local Batwa village. They will take you on a tour of their way of life, traditional dances, and the history of this pygmy tribe, as well as allow you to participate in the weaving business done by the Twa women.

Kibale National Park is the best chimp trekking site in Africa. Primate enthusiasts had already recognized Kibaale national park. This national park is also home to other primates such as other sorts of monkeys, and you may go on a birding safari in this area because there are so many birds to see. Nature hikes in the Kibale national park may be rejuvenating, so make a reservation for a guided nature walk in the Kibale national park.
Murchison Falls National Park is one of Uganda’s most loved and frequented national parks by both locals and visitors from other countries. Murchison Falls National Park, located in the country’s northwestern region, is Uganda’s largest national park and is home to up to 76 animals, 450 bird species, and a variety of reptiles and primates.
