Detailed Itinerary for 6 Days Tanzania Classic Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Tarangire National Park
You shall be picked up by your guide from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha. He will welcome you for the safari, brief you and proceed to transfer you to Tarangire National Park, which is known for large herds of elephants and also numerous bird species.
Later in the day, you will also engage in a game drive in Tarangire national park and look out for different wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, antelopes, zebras, lions, leopards among others.
After the game drive you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day in Lake Manyara National Park, Transfer to Ngorongoro
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will enter Lake Manyara national park with your packed lunch. Lake Manyara National Park is home to the tree climbing lions and also elephants and other wildlife
species.
You will also engage in a game drive and explore Lake Manyara national park, and enjoy seeing the diverse scenery of the national park. You will also look out for different wildlife species around the national park such as antelopes, gazelles, buffalos, leopards, waterbucks, monkeys, baboons among others as well as different bird species.
After your morning game drive, relax and enjoy your lunch over a picnic. Have another game viewing experience and thereafter proceed to transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area outskirts. Check in at the lodge, relax as you wait for your dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 3: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Drive
Your breakfast will be served at your lodge ahead of your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will enjoy a Tanzania wildlife safari in Ngorongoro crater where you will visit the world’s largest in active caldera
which is also home to numerous wildlife species such as such as the big 5 as well as wildebeests, zebras, hippos, cheetahs, antelopes, elands, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, hartebeests among others.
During the 4 days safari, you will also descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater. You will enjoy seeing attractions like Lake Magadi where you will see flamingos along the shores of the lake as well as hippos. After this experience, you will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge.
Retire back to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Maasai Bomas Visit and Transfer to Serengeti National Park
You will have your breakfast at the lodge and thereafter proceed to visit the Maasai Bomas found in the middle of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Interact with the locals, take part in different
activities with them. Enjoy your lunch at the lodge, and thereafter proceed for a transfer to the Serengeti National Park with lunch enroute to the park.
Later in the evening, you will head out to the park for an evening game drive where you will view a number of wildlife in the park such as wildebeests, zebras, lions, cheetah, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and so many more.
Retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will head out with your packed lunch for a full day Serengeti National Park safari experience. Engage in a morning game drive around Serengeti national park and look out for the wildebeest herds in the savannah plains as well as other wildlife species. You will have lunch ahead of another wildlife experience in the national park.
Later in the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 6: Transfer Back to Arusha/Moshi and Departure.
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you shall check out of the lodge and get to drive back to Arusha/Moshi via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying your packed lunch en-route. You shall be dropped off at the hotel in Arusha or Moshi, bringing your safari to an end.
