Trip description
Day 1: Pick up from hotel and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park.
As soon as you receive your Covid-19 test results and you are ready to start your safari. You driver guide will be waiting to take you on your transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. This is a 6 to 7 hour road transfer via the equator line where you may stop to have a photo moment and an experiment and also have your enroute lunch.
You will drive further to arrive in Kasese district to connect to your accommodation for the next few days. You will arrive in the evening hours and check into your room and freshen up as you wait for dinner. Spend your first night in Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 2: Day game drive and afternoon launch cruise
Wake up excited and energetic enough for this engaging day. You will grab some breakfast and set out for your morning game drive. You will drive in the vast lands of the park in search of the wildlife like the kobs, the bush bucks, elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and the smaller game like the wild pigs. You will drive back to your hotel for lunch and let the sun cool off a bit.
Later in the afternoon, you will drive to the Kazinga channel for your boat trip to get to see the water animals of the park like the crocodiles and watch the hippos basking at the shores of the lake. This launch cruise is also a great chance to do some birding as there are many endemic birds you will come across. Drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay as the previous night.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu forest
Chimpanzees are early risers so be up by 5am to head out to the starting point of the chimpanzee trek of Kalinzu forest. You will attend the morning brief before you set out into the forest. The search for the chimpanzees will last about 1 to 2 hours until you meet the chimpanzee family of the day. You will spend some time in the forest watching these playful primates swing from tree branch to tree branch.
Exit the forest heading back to your hotel for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing and cooling off from the past activities as you wait for dinner to be served and spend the third night.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
Have breakfast and leave Queen Elizabeth national park headed for Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park. You will drive for about 3 hours and arrive at your hotel in time for lunch. You will be welcomed with a glass of juice and settle into your room as lunch gets ready.
Lunch will be served and you will spend the rest of the day at the lodge enjoying the sights and sounds of Bwindi forest the home of the mountain gorillas. You will have dinner later and spend your first night in Bwindi impenetrable forest.

Day 5: Mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda
You will wake up early for breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for the morning brief before you enter the forest. You will connect with your ranger guides and head into the forest for your gorilla trekking experience. You will trek for about 2 to 6 hours depending on how far the mountain gorillas might have gone into the forest.
Once you get to meet your gorilla family of the day, you will spend one hour in their presence and exit the forest headed for a late lunch. You may take on an optional cultural tour of the Batwa people if you are feeling energetic. Dinner will be served later and you will spend the second night in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up at leisure in time for breakfast and pack your belongings to check out of your hotel. Meet your driver guide who will be waiting to transfer you back to Kampala. You will have an enroute lunch in Mbarara and drive further for drop off in Kampala or Entebbe as you will advise.
