This 3 Days Selous Wildlife Safari in Tanzania is a short tour that gives you the opportunity to explore the largest protected game reserve in Africa. Spanning over a radius of 54,600 square kilometers, Selous game reserve is a beacon for wildlife and comprises vast savannah lands, forests, and mountains.
It was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1982 and can be visited throughout the year. Among some of the wildlife that you can site in the game reserve include; zebras, hippos, wildebeests, giraffes, lions, buffalos, impala, hartebeests, elands, leopards, and waterbucks among others.

Day 1: Transfer to Selous Game Reserve, Boat Cruise
On the first day of the safari your safari guide shall pick you and transfer you to Selous Game Reserve. Selous is quite a distance so you will arrive by mid-day and on arrival and after lunch; you will go for a boat ride in the Rufiji River. Crocodiles, hippos and hippos can be seen here as well as other animals as they converge to quench their thirst. Crocodiles take advantage to hunt their prey and you might be treated to sights of animal action if lucky. Overnight at your selected camp perched right at the banks of Rufiji River.
Day 2: Game Drive in Selous, Walking Safari Experience
Head out early for an early morning game drive for a chance to see those nocturnal animals as they return from their nightly hunt. Return to the lodge thereafter, enjoy breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge as you wait for lunch.
Later in the late afternoon hours, you shall enjoy a guided walking safari through the plains of the park, for an opportunity to come up-close with nature and wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive, Departure
Wake up to an early morning in the park for an opportunity to see more wild game in the park. After your breakfast, with your packed lunch embark on a transfer to Dar es Salaam from where you shall arrive in time for your flight or dropped off at the lodge, bringing your Tanzania safari to an end.
