Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up in Arusha, Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, Evening game drive

On this 1st day of your 3 Days Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Eyasi safari, you shall be picked up from Arusha by our Tanzania safari guide. He shall brief you about your 3 Days Tanzania safari, and then proceed for a transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, home of the big 5 and loads of other wild animals including wildebeests, gazelles and zebras among so many others. You shall arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, and get to relax in the afternoon. Later, you shall descend to the crater floor and enjoy an evening game drive in search of big five including the rare Black rhino, large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, and so much more. Flamingos too can be seen. Return to the lodge thereafter for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Transfer to Lake Eyasi, Cultural Tour

You shall wake up early today, have a cup of coffee or tea and then head out for an early morning game drive. This early morning game drive gives you an opportunity to see more wildlife that you may have missed the previous day, especially nocturnal animals as they return form their night hunt. Return to the lodge for breakfast, and then proceed to check out and head out for a transfer to Lake Eyasi, enjoying another game drive as you are leaving the Ngorongoro Crater. Lake Eyasi is an amazing place with a lot of culture to fathom. The area is inhabited by indigenous people who are hunters and fruit gatherers.

You shall arrive at Lake Eyasi in the early afternoon hours, in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and appreciating your surroundings. In the evening, you shall head out for a community hadzabe/Dagtogat tribe for a hunting activity with the locals and a cultural tour to have you encounter or experience how these local hunters and fruit gatherers blend their lifestyle with the wildlife in Lake Eyasi. Thereafter, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Walking safari, Transfer back to Arusha

  1. On this last day of your 3 Days Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Eyasi safari, you shall wake up to a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, and then head out for a walking safari in the company of an armed ranger. After, return to the lodge, check out and then proceed for a transfer back to Arusha with an en-route lunch.
