Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Based on your location in Kampala, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will brief you on the safari before beginning the journey to Murchison Falls National Park in northern Uganda. The drive takes around 5 to 6 hours, and you will stop in Masindi town for lunch before continuing on to Murchison Falls National Park. When you arrive at the park, you will be driven immediately to the top of the falls, where you will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the waterfalls, water splashes, and many bird species. From the top of the falls, you will travel to the lodge for supper and sleep.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
On the second day of your three-day Murchison Falls safari, after an early breakfast, you will meet with your driving guide for the morning wildlife drive, which begins very early in the morning. During the game drive, you will travel along various game tracks such as Buligi, Victoria, and Albert, where you will see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, Uganda kobs, and bird species such as black-bellied bustard, secretary birds, open-billed stork, grey-crowned crane, and goliath heron, among others. After the wildlife drive, you will return to the resort for lunch.
Following lunch, you will drive to the Paraa landing location for a boat tour to the base of the falls. The scheduled boat cruise lasts about 2 to 3 hours, and you will be able to cruise meters away from animals such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and waterbucks that will be drinking water along the shores, as well as see large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, aquatic bird species such as Kingfishers, fish eagles, Bee-eaters, Herons, and cormorants, among others. After the boat tour, you will meet your driving guide and return to the lodge for an evening of leisure, supper, and overnight stay as described above.
Day 3: Transfer Back to Kampala/ Entebbe
On the last day of your Uganda safari, you will have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide to begin your journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will stop for lunch and then proceed to Kampala, arriving early evening, where your driver guide will drop you off at any location of your choice.
