Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Manyara safari
Depending upon the time of arrival on the first day of the three-day Lake Manyara safari, our driving guide will pick you up from Arusha, inform you on the safari, and then take you to lunch at one of the surrounding hotels. After lunch, you will go to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located in the southern portion of Arusha.
The drive takes around 2 hours, and once in the park, you will check into the lodge and prepare for an optional canoeing trip on Lake Manyara. The canoe journey lasts around 1 to 2 hours and provides excellent views of various creatures like as buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes along the lake’s banks, hippos in water, bird species such as flamingos and fish eagles, as well as lovely landscape. After the breathtaking canoe ride you will meet up with your driver guide to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Lake Manyara national park
On the second day of your three-day Lake Manyara safari, after breakfast, you will pack a lunch and meet with your driving guide for a full-day wildlife drive in the park. During the morning game drive, you will be able to see elephants, buffaloes, zebras, impala, warthogs, waterbucks, wildebeest, giraffes, and bird species such as crowned eagles, silvery cheecked hornbills, and crested guinea fowl, among others.
Following the morning wildlife drive, you will have your packed lunch or return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. After lunch, you will meet your driver guide and go on an afternoon game drive where you will see large concentrations of baboons, tree climbing lions, which can only be found in Lake Manyara National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda, as well as other animals such as hippos, warthogs, klipspringers, buffaloes, and take beautiful pictures of the sunset. After the game drive you will drive out of the park and return to your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and departure to Arusha
Following breakfast on the final day of your three-day Lake Manyara safari, your driver guide will pick you up for another morning game drive in the park, where you will be able to see predators returning to their hiding places as well as other animals that you may have missed on the previous game drive. Following the excellent wildlife drive, you will return to the resort for lunch.
Departure to Arusha, following lunch, you will check out of the lodge, and your driver guide will pick you up to begin the journey to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at any location of your choice or at the airport for your departure flight.
