Detailed Itinerary for 5 Days Uganda wildlife and gorilla trekking Safari from Kigali.
Day 1; Pickup from Kigali and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali and transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. You will first have a tour of Kigali city where you will visit the Genocide Memorial Center. You will then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda; with a stopover for lunch enroute to the park.
Dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.
Day 2; Game Drive & Launch Cruise – Queen Elizabeth
Go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park where you will spot a lot of wildlife including African elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, impala, among others and a lot of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast, relax a bit and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel inside Queen Elizabeth Park where you will come up close with hippos, crocodiles among other aquatic life and an array of birds on the bay! Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 3; Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha
Enjoy your breakfast and head southwest of Queen Elizabeth national park in search of tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector where on a lucky day, you will be able to spot many of them lounging on trees and enjoying the sun! Continue and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park arriving in the evening. Check in to your lodge, unwind, and enjoy dinner and overnight.
Day 4; Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides before embarking on your gorilla trek. Head into the forest and trek until you find the gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After finding the gorillas in Bwindi, you will be allowed only 1 hour and then return. Your driver / guide will drive you back to your hotel to relax and spend another night as above
Day 5; Transfer to Kigali for Departure
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer back to Kigali. Drop off at your hotel in Kigali or the Airport for your onward flight marking the end of your 5 Days Uganda wildlife and gorilla trekking Safari from Kigali.
