Day 1: Transfer to Kigali city

Day 2: Transfer to Bukavu

Transfer to Bukavu: On day 2 of 10 days Congo safari tour, you will wake up on a relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to meet with your as you embark on the journey to Bukavu via Nyungwe forest where you will have a view of lake kivu and proceed to check-in at Panaroma Hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Day 3: Lowland Gorilla trekking

Day 4: Nature walks and waterfall visit

Day 5: Transfer to Goma

Day 6: 1st Gorilla Trekking

1st Gorilla trekking: On day 6 of 10 days Congo safari tour, you are expected to wake up as early as possible enjoy breakfast, pack the lunch box, and have a drive to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, head to the wild and start the adventurous activity of encountering mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This trek lasts between 30 minutes to full-day allowing just one hour in presence of mountain gorillas for interaction and photo taking. Day 7: 2nd Gorilla trekking

2nd Gorilla Trekking: On day 7 of 10 days Congo safari tour, you are expected to have a second gorilla trek. Wake up early in the morning as the previous day, have breakfast, pack your lunch and meet with your driver for the 2nd gorilla trekking adventure. In this 2nd trek, you will be offered a different gorilla group different from the one you trekked the previous day in order to have a different experience in the jungle. Day 8: Chimpanzee trekking

Like gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking also lasts between 30 minutes and 7 hours or even a full day. Once the habituated chimpanzees are allocated, only one hour is allowed in presence of chimpanzees taking photographs, and interacting with them. Day 9: Mount Nyiragongo hike (ascend)

Hiking mount Nyiragongo: On this day 9 of the 10 days Congo safari tour, wake up in the morning for breakfast, check out of the lodge and have a drive to office for a briefing before proceeding to Kibati patrol post where mount Nyiragongo hike starts. Be at thee place in time since the hike starts at exactly 10:00am. During the hike, you will be in position to sight out different wildlife including primates, mammals and bird species.
