1 Day Uganda Gorilla Tour
Our 1 Day Uganda Gorilla Tour is a short primitive safari tour package well planned for travelers who have limited time but wish to do gorilla trekking in Uganda. This 1 day Uganda Gorilla trek to Mgahinga National Park. Travel starts from Kabale or Kisoro, which is a nearby town to Mgahinga National Park, located 40 minutes away from the park. This trip starts and ends in Kabale /Kisoro town.
Note: Ugandan gorilla trekking permits cost USD800 for nonforeign residents and USD700 for foreign residents.
Detailed Itinerary
1 day Uganda Gorilla Safari – from Kisoro to Mgahinga NP ‘’40 Minutes’ drive’’
Start your day safari with a morning breakfast at the hotel before our safari driver-guide picks you up. You will be set off to the park headquarters by 6:30am. Upon arrival at the park headquarters, we will have a short briefing about gorilla trekking rules, regulations, and expectations. After the briefing, a park ranger will accompany you through the forest in search of the gorilla family.
The experience can take about 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla movement while tracking. You will be able to see various animals species, including different bird species, small primates, and other aspects of nature.
Upon finding the gorilla family, you will be given an hour to watch the gorillas as you learn how they survive in the jungle, their behaviors, habits, and feeding, as well as take photographs.
